Cyanotype are a printing process from which blueprints were originally made. A solution made of Potassium ferricyanide and Ferric ammonium citrate (green) are brushed on the paper and when it is placed in the sunlight, it will turn the paper blue. Place a fern, flower, seaweed or other object on the paper and set it in the sun briefly. Then rinse the paper in water and watch as a beautiful long-lasting image appears! Full sun will produce deeper blues and cloudy days produce more muted blues. It is really fun to do with kids, or yourself. They come in two sizes, the Super Sunprint kit contains 15 8”x 12” sheets and one acrylic overlay. And the Small come with 12 4” x 4” and an overlay.
