We sell the traditional Japanese clay pot cookers or 'Donabe' in the shop. Often customers are curious how to cook with them, but until recently I had few resources to which I could point them. The Donabe cookbook is not only beautifully photographed, but it also has incredible, drool-worthy recipes. There are recipes for rice based dishes, as well as soups and stews and braises and plain white or brown rice. The recipes include both traditional and some more contemporary ones. Crab and Napa Cabbage Soup, Soy-Flavored Simmered Ground Chicken over Rice and Buttered Scallop and Daikon Rice to name a few.
